My name is Sophia and I am ten years old. I live in London and I have a little brother called Sebastian who is four years old. I love swimming, tennis, art and reading to my brother.
I read to my little brother every evening and I love to see him giggle especially when I read funny books to him. His favourite books are called Hug by Jez Alborough and The Story of Little Babaji by Helen Bannerman.
This website is about the books that I read to my brother and my thoughts about them. I hope you enjoy reading my reviews to help you choose books for little children.
I have also decided to sell the books I read to my brother since want other people to enjoy these books as much as we have. With the money I raise, I will donate 50% to my school and Christ Church School Chelsea and 50% to the charity Friends of the Elderly where Her Majesty The Queen is the Patron.
My school is so special to me and I want my donation to make it even better with extra books and materials. This is a picture of me with my wonderful headmistress when I gave her the cheque. She was so happy and so was I.
I also wanted to give money to the elderly because I love old people and think they are so sweet. They also have wonderful memories and stories to tell. Some older people need more support so hopefully my donation with help a little.
So far, I have raised £925 which I am so proud of. Here is a picture of me giving the money to the charity the Friends of the Elderly. In this picture I was standing with charity organiser and Paul, who uses the charity. I loved meeting them and hope to continue working with them.
My story was published in the Wandsworth Times, and I was then interviewed live by Riverside Radio on the news team on Friday 28th June 2019 at 6:30pm. The interview can be found here.
Note: I have now sold all the books on this website but you can still make a donation via PayPal very easily by clicking on each link DONATE now to receive this book.
